Florida Concealed Carry

The advantage of getting the Florida license in addition to the Ohio license is that it adds additional states that you can conceal carry in. Ohio currently allows you to carry in 31 states (AK, AZ, AR, DE, FL, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MI, MN, MO, MT, NE, NM, NV, NC, ND, OH, OK, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, VA, WA, WV, and WY are allowed). (verify before carrying in a state) By getting the Florida license, you can add 6 additional states.

Georgia
Mississippi
Pennsylvania
Texas

Florida Concealed Carry License Application Process

Taking Armed2Defend's Ohio concealed carry class also meets the Florida training requirements. If you are interested in applying for the Florida concealed carry license, please follow the steps below.

Below are the application steps.

1.       Take Armed2Defend’s class: you get the certificate of competency and passport size photo.

2.       Request fingerprint card and application packet from Florida (free shipping and it comes quickly): http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/FORMS/FormsRequest790.html.

3.       Get your fingerprints at a police or sheriff station (Franklin county sheriff charges $10, must bring in the Florida fingerprint card)

4.       Get your application notarized by a notary.

5.       Send your application fee of $117 and paperwork (passport size photo, photo copy of your certificate of competency, original fingerprint card, and original notarized application) to the address in the application booklet.

6.       Processing time can take up to 90 days or more depending on background checks.

7.       License is good for 7 years.
